Wellness Project
I founded Wellness Project. It is an AI tracker for fitness, nutrition, sleep and recovery, and on the App Store and Google Play it is listed as Wellness Project: Fitness AI.
This page is my own account of it. I run the company, so read it as that and not as a review.
What it does
It has eight named AI advisors, each with a different focus. Each one reads your full logged history before it says anything. That is the difference from a generic chat app. The answer is built on what you actually logged, not on a template.
It syncs with Apple Health, Fitbit, Oura and Google Health Connect, so your data comes in from wherever you already track it. It runs on iOS, Android and the web, and it is free during early access.
Why it is built this way
Wellness Project is an AI-first company. The software was engineered by AI. The go-to-market runs on a standing bench of named AI specialist agents, each built for one job: legal, SEO, brand, product marketing, growth.
The structure is also the argument. A bench of specialists is what lets a very small company give every user a panel of specialists instead of one generalist assistant.
The calls I keep
I am the human in the loop, and I want to be specific about what that means, because it is the part people are right to ask about.
My day job is where marketing and law meet, at a company in one of the most heavily regulated consumer categories in the country. Before that I was General Counsel to the Massachusetts Senate President. That work is why I know which decisions an agent should never be allowed to make alone.
So the calls I keep are the ones with consequences. What the product is allowed to say about health, and what it is not. What data we collect, how long we hold it, and who can see it. Whether a feature is ready or merely finished. Whether a claim in an ad is one I could defend to a regulator.
The agents draft. They research, they argue, and they produce work I could not produce alone at this size. They do not ship a health claim, a privacy change or a legal document without me reading it first.
If something goes wrong here, it is mine. There is no committee to spread that across.
Questions I get
Did you write the code yourself?
No. The software was engineered by AI, under my direction. I built websites for a living for years before law school, which is why I believed an AI-first team could do this well. It is not a claim to being a professional engineer now. It is why I knew what the work involves.
Why would I trust an app run by AI agents?
Not more than you would trust any other early product. What I can tell you is who is accountable, which is me, by name, on my own domain, with twenty years of public record behind it. The advisors read your data and tell you what they see in it. They do not make decisions for you.
Where do I get it?
On the App Store and Google Play, and in a browser at wellnessproject.ai. Free during early access.
What it is not
Wellness Project is informational wellness software. It is not a medical product. The advisors do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. It is a tool for tracking and understanding your own data, and it belongs alongside your doctor, not instead of one.
That is the honest version. If you would rather see it than read about it, Wellness Project: Fitness AI is free while we are in early access.
